Synaptosaurus

The project focuses on peptides that disrupt key protein-protein interactions to strengthen synapses in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Fragile-X Syndrome, both associated with cognitive impairment and anxiety. In vivo experiments on rats demonstrated significant nootropic and anxiolytic effects of the designed peptides. The main objective is to optimize the lead compound and finalize preclinical tests, aiming to develop a therapeutic agent with both cognitive-enhancing and anxiolytic properties.
